LA Superior Court Seeks Official Court Reporters

*Full-time:               $7,203.45 – $8,476.36 Monthly
*Part-time 3/5:        $4,322.07 – $5,085.82 Monthly

BENEFITS (full-time)
 

  • Options Benefit Plan – Benefits may be purchased using a tax free monthly benefits allowance between $899.49 – $1,938.73 (based on number enrolled in medical coverage).  If the monthly cost of the benefits selected is less than the monthly allowance, the employee receives the difference as additional taxable pay. Medical, dental, disability, life and AD&D insurance, and health and dependent care spending accounts are available in Options.
  • Deferred Compensation Plan (457) – Optional tax-deferred income plan that includes a County match of up to 4% of employee’s salary.
  • Vacation – All permanent employees are eligible to earn paid vacation based on years of service. Vacation time may not be used during the first six months of employment.
  • Sick leave – Depending on the length of service and employment categories, up to one day of full pay per month of service is accrued monthly for qualifying service.
  • Holidays – 13 days per year
  • Bereavement leave
  • Retirement Plan – A retirement plan is provided to full-time, permanent employees
  • The Commuter Benefit Plan (CBP) Allows employees to pay for eligible public transit expenses using pre-tax dollars (up to IRS limits).

San Francisco Superior Court Seeks Official Reporters

The Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, invites applications from Certified Court Reporters who are interested in working in the San Francisco Court.

This selection process is being conducted in accordance with San Francisco Superior Court Personnel Rule 4.8 and therefore will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill future vacancies.

COMPENSATION:

$116,916 – $123,909 annually
(salary + 5.5% qualified realtime differential
$121,903 – $129,909 annually
(salary + 10% certified realtime differential)


All official reporters MUST provide realtime in order to work in San Francisco Superior Court. Realtime differentials are included as salary for pension purposes.

Annual compensation does not include possible transcript income and realtime differential compensation.

FINAL FILING DATE:

Official Reporter Position Open in U.S. District Court – Eastern District

The incumbent will report to a Court Services Supervisor in our Clerk’s Office and will as part of a pool of reporters provide court reporting services to our Sacramento judges on an assigned basis.

SALARY RANGE

Level 3: $89,320 (Requires Realtime Certification)
Level 4: $93,380 (Requires Realtime Certification and Registered Merit
Reporter (RMR) Certification)

San Francisco Superior Court Seeks Pro Tems

The Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, invite applications from licensed Court Reporters able to report in Realtime who are willing to work for the Court on an Intermittent or As-Needed basis reporting a variety of proceedings and producing transcripts upon request.

The selected qualified candidates will be appointed as “as-needed” employees who will be contacted to work on a daily basis, when needed by the Court. Most of the assignments will be in the Criminal departments. Assignments are made in half-day or whole day increments.
