San Francisco Superior Court Seeks Pro Tem Reporters

The Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, invites applications from licensed Court Reporters able to report in Realtime who are willing to work for the Court on an Intermittent or As-Needed basis reporting a variety of proceedings and producing transcripts upon request.

The selected qualified candidates will be appointed as “as-needed” employees who will be contacted to work on a daily basis, when needed by the Court. Most of the assignments will be in the Criminal departments. Assignments are made in half-day or whole day increments.

San Francisco Superior Court Seeks Official Reporters

The Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, invites applications from Certified Court Reporters who are interested in working in the San Francisco Court.

This selection process is being conducted in accordance with San Francisco Superior Court Personnel Rule 4.8 and therefore will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill future vacancies.

OFFICIAL REPORTER COMPENSATION:

$116,916 – $123,909 annually
(salary + 5.5% qualified realtime differential
$121,903 – $129,909 annually
(salary + 10% certified realtime differential)


All official reporters MUST provide realtime in order to work in San Francisco Superior Court. Realtime differentials are included as salary for pension purposes.

Annual salary compensation does not include possible transcript income and realtime differential compensation.

FINAL FILING DATE:

Santa Cruz Superior Court Seeks Official Reporters

The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Cruz is seeking highly qualified candidates to create an eligibility list for filling future vacancies for Court Reporter at its Santa Cruz and/or Watsonville Courthouse locations.

Compensation and Benefits

The position of Court Reporter is classified as represented hourly employment and is compensated according to the following hourly pay range:

$45.40 -$49.11 Hourly
$3632 – $3928. Bi-weekly
$94,432 – $102,148 Annual

A flat fee of $300 for half day and $600 for full day when realtime is provided.

The Court offers a generous benefits package, which includes life insurance, a choice of health plans, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), paid holidays, and paid time off. Employees pay a portion of their own PERS retirement.

Alameda Superior Court Seeks Official Reporters/Pro Tems

The Superior Court of California, County of Alameda is accepting applications for the positions of both Court Reporter & Court Reporter, Per Diem. Under direction, Court Reporters & Court Reporters, Per Diem stenotypes a verbatim record of court proceedings; to read notes as requested; to prepare transcripts; and to perform other related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION:

$ 83,694.00 – $101,595.00 annual base salary*

$87,867 – $106,684 annual base salary plus 5% in-house realtime certification*

$91,299 – $110,838 annual base salary + 9% certified realtime differential*

Court Pays 100% of premium for lowest cost health plan.

Court pays 100% of current monthly premium for dental plans.

A Court Reporter is a full-time, non-management position, with benefits. Employees are paid an hourly rate within the prescribed salary range noted above.
