Members' Motion to Rescind Board Action, pursuant to NCRA Constitution & Bylaws

In November of 2008, the NCRA Board of Directors made the following motion:
MOTION 08-11-13: MOVED, seconded and carried that the Board directs staff to develop a business plan for testing non-members, with the plan to include an assessment of the feasibility and desirability of testing stenographic and non-stenographic court reporters, transcriptionists, and other technologies.
No action has been taken by NCRA at this point.
It is our hope that, once you have reviewed the link and signed the petition, NCRA Board of Directors will not take action on their motion.
COCRA admires and respects the work of NCRA. We have applied for affiliate status with NCRA because we recognize their many accomplishments in furthering the careers of certified shorthand reporters across the country.
Opposing this particular motion in no way affects our desire to continue to work with NCRA now and in the future.
